{I’m so done with being afraid of my own dash.

It’s like I’ve lost the will to do anything and this isn’t… the way it should be?

I’m hating my mood issues I just… I’m sorry I keep feeling useless for no apparent reason and whoa I guess being this fussy sounds really dumb right?}

Gil gripped the blond’s sleeves and blushed, mumbling to himself, embarassed. “Still sleeping. Do you want to see him?” His eyes watered slightly. He was hardly alone with Jack, and he was feeling a bit jealous. “He would want…”

♔] “If he’s sleeping, we mustn’t disturb him,” came Jack’s response as he snuggled tiny Gilbert closer, peppering his forehead and cheeks with a series of chaste kisses and nuzzles. “I just wanted to make sure he’s all right, that’s all. Vincent’s a growing boy, he needs his rest.”

He shifted Gilbert gently to his hip and bounced him up and down, seeing the dour look on the child’s face. “And what has my darling little Gil been up to today?”

“Vince wouldn’t think of it as a bother.” Gil smiled shyly. The noirette was telling the truth, but he was glad Jack would be only for him all the same. “He’s well though. I’m always making sure he is, myself.”

“Washing-up!” His smile got brighter. Not at the mention of his duties, of couse! The attention made the kid so happy he couldn’t help but chime. “They said I was a great help.”

“Papa… Jack… Papa Jack?”

“Mmh— yes to both, s-si… I mean, Papa!”

♔] “Ah, that’s it, Gil—! How precious… perhaps this is the medicine I’ve been needing all along.” Wasting no time, Jack lovingly scooped the little boy into his arms, kissing him gently on the forehead before snuggling him close. “Where’s your baby brother gone off to today, hm? Where’s little Vincent?”

Gil gripped the blond’s sleeves and blushed, mumbling to himself, embarassed. “Still sleeping. Do you want to see him?” His eyes watered slightly. He was hardly alone with Jack, and he was feeling a bit jealous. “He would want…”
